The biggest single drop since the playtest opened, covering the whole 0.6 line. Four new systems arrived: sponsorships, charter flying, the aircraft deal room and the executive inbox. Two screens were rebuilt from nothing, Routes and Brand, the loyalty programme got a proper launch, and the season boundary stopped asking you to re-file work you had already done.
Sponsorships. Marketing spend is no longer a slider. The world is populated with real things to sponsor: football clubs and leagues, stadiums and arenas, motorsport, marathons, winter sport, film and music festivals, cultural institutions, business forums, tourism boards and airports. Each has its own audience, prestige, home city and the countries its name travels to, its own hand-built name drawn from the vocabulary of the place it belongs to, a founding year, and a crest it draws itself. Filter by kind or by the strategic cut you care about: best fit, what you can afford, what moves awareness most, whose contracts are about to expire, or what nobody currently holds.
Sponsorship negotiation is a term sheet with nine levers, not a price: retainer, signing payment, performance bonus, rights, exclusivity, advertising, hospitality, campaigns promised, term length and a renewal option. What a term is worth to them and what it costs you deliberately differ, which is how a small airline can win a partner it cannot outbid. They counter, and their reply names what they moved. What you buy is a rights package rather than the property itself, and naming rights actually put your carrier's name on it.
Signing a partner buys a baseline. Working the deal is where the value is. Nine campaigns are available on any partnership: event advertising, a special livery, a ticket promotion, a hospitality package, charter flights, a social campaign, a frequent flyer promotion, employee participation and a route launch tie-in. Each costs real money on top of the retainer, each buys back a share of what the partner can do, and returns diminish, so the question is which three or four fit. Ticket promotions cut real fares in the markets the partner cares about, and frequent flyer promotions actually grow the programme.
Every sponsorship carries at least one obligation you cannot switch off, shown at the table before you sign. Break enough of them and the partnership goes under review, and leave a review unresolved and they end it themselves. Terminations and scandals leave a permanent trace on the contract. Each partnership opens on an overview answering four questions separately: what the partner is still worth, what you have broken and what the next broken commitment costs, how much of what you bought you are using, and what your awareness in their region would be without the deal. Properties can also approach you unprompted, and not taking the call is remembered.
Charter flights are real flying. A sporting partner throws off a fixture list for the season, and accepting one authors an actual dated flight in your timetable with the slots it needs at both ends. A charter is a round trip, not a leg, and the return never leaves before the party does. It holds slots, binds crew, gets recovered when a tail goes to maintenance, and settles through the same ledger as everything else. Assigning an aircraft lists your fleet, says which tails can take the flight and why the others cannot, and positions the aircraft with ferries. A busy tail is quoted with its price on the row rather than simply refused. Declining ahead of time is cheap. Saying yes and having nothing on it by the day is a miss, and a strike.
The aircraft deal room. Buying aircraft is a conversation, not a form with a price in it. The negotiate step opens a room: a named person from the manufacturer, the line they just said, what you notice while they say it, where they stand against your last package, and at most four things you could say next. Who is across the table is different every campaign and it matters. Seniority, patience, ego, honesty, flexibility and how much they can sign without asking anyone all vary, and you are never shown those as numbers. You get their face, their words and their tells, and working out what sort of person you are dealing with is the skill the room is testing.
The deal room's sheet is thirteen terms in four groups. Money is price per aircraft, deposit and cancellation fee. The order is quantity, delivery flexibility and production priority. Support is training credits, maintenance credits, simulator packages and spare engines. Cover is free options, warranty extension and cabin customization. Nothing crosses the table until you send it as one proposal. Leverage is a hand of cards dealt from your actual position, and playing one you cannot back gets called out loud and costs you standing. Standing is how they see you, stated as a real percentage off their price; pressure is how close this is to breaking down, counted against that person's own patience. They remember you between campaigns.
The executive inbox. Correspondence is a place, not a receipt queue. A mail desk with a mail-client left rail, sender addresses, letters that start at the left edge the way mail actually reads, and a signature with a face. The dock says how many letters are waiting, and a letter announces itself without stopping the clock. Letters carry references rather than copies, so a letter about a thing always reflects the thing as it is now, they can enclose a document you sign, and answering one can take you where the decision lives. Mail expires on the same day whether you watch the days pass or skip them.
Who writes to you: the regulator, with findings that carry their own appeal clock and again when the AOC is issued; the manufacturer about an invitation; the board, the crew market and the contracts desk; flight operations when a pilot falls out of recency; sponsorship partners across seven separate domains; and the airports, with opening, relocation and rename notices, advance warning of Level 3 slot coordination promotions, a closure decision thread with an in-letter transfer, and a closure-day transfer manifest.
Authority decisions moved into the mail. The mailbox signs AOC decisions, and the decision document moved out of the certification screen and into a letter. The Authority screen keeps progress, gives up decisions, and retires entirely once the certificate is issued. Skipping time now stops on documents awaiting signature, so a certification stage cannot quietly pass you by while you fast forward, and documents you leave unsigned return to the screen.
Zero-touch season continuation. Rolling a season forward no longer means re-filing work you already did. Continuation clones are born published, retained routes are filed automatically at window-open, rotation lines carry at window-open rather than at season start, and slot offers that are exact continuations of what you already held auto-accept on allocation day. Carried rotations are rebuilt onto the fleet the new season will actually have, so a tail that left no longer takes its whole rotation with it and a new delivery does not sit idle, while lines you locked survive untouched. The publish surfaces count new routes only, because a carried schedule is already live.
The Routes workstation. A new Routes board holds your whole route roster in one place, with hub, distance and haul band alongside performance, and real filtering and sorting. It builds without the globe, so opening it is instant. A CHARTERS view sits alongside routes, and the performance rail gets a CHARTERS ledger. The old Scheduling workstation is gone; everything it did lives here or in the planner.
Loyalty, rebuilt. Launching a frequent flyer programme is a full-screen wizard rather than a panel: stage rail, live dossier, identity stage, tier ladder, economics, co-brand terms, membership card designer, and a review stage that ends in a welcome-kit ceremony. The card you design is the card members carry, the tiers station is staged as the card ladder scene, and before launch the desk is a full-bleed hero rather than an empty table. The Loyalty tab is now the programmes desk, and sponsor miles promotions surface on it.
The lounge section of the Loyalty tab is a full-bleed 3D stage, with the room standing on a studio set rather than a photo bleed.
A rebuilt Brand screen. The Identity tab is the studio home, and the Marketing tab was rebuilt in the Identity dialect, keeps the bill, and hands the market to the sponsorship desk. Brand standing only stands in the markets you fly.
Order a ferry yourself. Plan a positioning flight from the fleet hub, see it on the rotation timeline, and put a tail where you need it without waiting for the scheduler to work it out.
Fleet and rotations. The rotation timeline is player-oriented, with a dated picker, a day pulse, and it opens at today. A line warns you when its next departure is not where the tail actually is, line edits re-materialize the live window immediately, a line is graded as the weeks it actually flies, and one rule now governs bridging a line's position gaps so a bridge that cannot be flown is not offered as one. The scheduler says an aircraft is reserved before you try to assign it, and a named aircraft reads by its name rather than its registration.
Maintenance shows one programme at a time. Heavy checks position at coverage-block granularity, ferry toward reachable blocks and around curfews, and report positioning failures honestly instead of blaming hangar capacity. An ETOPS requirement no longer blocks airframes that are exempt from it, and the 757 and the 767 share one type rating as they do in reality.
Orders and finance. Used aircraft honour the deposit and handover the room actually agreed, and the deal ledger reconciles against that deposit rather than a catalogue figure. Financing sizes to the balance the order left owing rather than the list price, the funding desk quotes the deposit schedule it will actually bill, EETC notes are sized to what the deposit left owing, and a PDP preview lets you see the pre-delivery payment shape before committing. The corporate section is gone from Finance.
The cabin. Cabin reconfigurations ground the tail in the months you booked, the default layout certifies and fills the tube, preset rows quote the layout they will actually build, and a tube can be filled with more floor than its seats can balance.
Route planning. Rival departures appear on the planner's own clock, so you can see what you are flying against at the time you are proposing to fly. The demand pattern rules the average and is priced accordingly, planning predicts demand through the same model the simulation runs, plan P&L prices through the revenue-management fare ladder to match realized yield, season projection months are priced against their own season's published schedule, and operating days moved to the Schedule step where they belong.
Crew. Type-rating pool depth makes common types easier to hire than rare ones, you can search the roster by rating, rank, base and status rather than just name, and the Overview roster is sectioned by crew type. Flight operations writes to you when a pilot falls out of recency, a one-date charter is no longer treated as weekly flying when sizing crew, and the globe camera stops flying to the hub when you open the crew screen.
Airports. Opening, relocation and rename notices arrive as letters, with advance notice of Level 3 slot coordination promotions so a promotion is not a surprise, a closure decision thread with an in-letter transfer, a closure-day transfer manifest with a same-day gated reconcile, and a capped player migration log with pre-move counts so you can see what you had at an airport before it went. Rival closure move dates are clamped to the successor's opening date, and an emergent airport no longer tries to inherit from a predecessor it never had.
Performance. The open analyze dossier no longer stalls the simulation on every day boundary, charters stopped re-walking the world on every tick, the charter staging chain caches the slot ledgers it used to rebuild per tail per pass, charter lines are graded once rather than once per line, armed fleet targets stop re-grading on every fleet-data identity churn, the network-map worker receives slice deltas rather than full snapshots, sponsor holder candidates are indexed rather than scanned, connection forecasts are scoped to candidate rotations, and vinyl drags stay smooth on dense exports in the brand studio.
Charters. Committing metal re-plans, detaches, and refuses only on real blockers, and a charter away from base gets a ferry rather than a refusal. A re-solve rebuilds the charter's ferries as well as its legs, the auto-scheduler leaves charters where you put them, a committed charter trades rather than being handed back, and the optimizer leaves a maintenance fill-in unscheduled. A multi-year deal gets more than one season, a programme dies with its deal, flown means it landed, and a miss stops flying.
More charter handling. The party is sized against the cabin rather than the exit limit, a dated one-off draws only on the week it flies, the rotation timeline draws a charter on the day it flies and honours what the resolved date cancelled, recovery protects charters, maintenance stops pricing them as revenue, and the cash projection cannot settle charter fixtures. A charter is one date, so it does not continue into the next season. The AI treats a charter as flown but not as capacity, a cancelled charter stops dragging network operations quality, dead fixtures leave the season retention review, and charter copy respects your airport code preference.
Slots and rotations. Dated holdings stop absorbing season usage credit and stop covering season slot conformity, charters get an entitlement for the single day they fly rather than a season of Tuesdays, tail availability resolves from the plan rather than the window, a ferry for one date does not fly all season, and an empty-string position cannot slip past the maintenance teleport guard.
Inbox and authority. A stage advance posts the regulator's letters the same day, the mailbox reconciles when the regulator's records change, the frequency-cap letter hands off to a panel that still exists, and a jurisdiction has a name rather than a key, with diplomacy news naming the countries the letters do.
Interface. The dock's workspace letters are real keybinds, the campaign board flows as masonry so uneven panels leave no holes, the sponsor viewer was thinned down to decisions and numbers, the markets table breathes and the inspector groups, the partnership row stopped being five islands, the dispatch board and tail dossier read in the app font, there is no zero-sum portfolio strip before you have opened a lounge, the calendar and the dispatch rail agree on today, and the negotiation station stops scrolling the takeover.
Tutorial and brand studio. The arm step waits for the armed set to close a loop, the cadence beat anchors on the clock, chapter two clears its decisions in the inbox, the approvals row names the room it opens, and synthesized paint charts align with the paintkit convention.
Existing saves. Saves that already paid a cabin retrofit start cost are not billed again, saves with no legacy charter are not put through a charter migration, un-migrated saves keep the old charter miss rule until they migrate, and saved sponsorship contracts are forwarded onto the new slot ids so a property can be renamed without breaking a deal you signed.

Heads up: an older save may fail to load the first time with an error, and loading it again usually works. The competitor routes overlay now shows only the rival routes that touch the airport you are planning from, read outbound from it, instead of every route every competitor flies worldwide. Competitor hubs still mark the whole globe.
Autosave can be set to shorter intervals.
Weekly passenger choice, re-choice and capacity allocation now run in the native kernel, and the daily loop stops rescanning mature routes it has already settled. Long time skips finish faster and use noticeably less memory.

Loading a save now repairs every part of the airline that pointed at a removed airport, not just the route network. Aircraft, undelivered orders, maintenance commitments, crew and the training academy relocate to a surviving base, lounges, crew bases, contracts and open postings that no longer have an airport are closed out, and history is left untouched. Known issue: because of this repair pass, an older save may fail the first time with an error. Loading the same save again usually works and the game continues normally. This does not affect every save, and new games are not affected. If a save still refuses to load after a second try, please report it here on the feedback site.
Passenger counts read as whole passengers everywhere, instead of showing fractions like "316,563.817" in Finance statements, tail dossiers and the end of game summary.

The route planner now tells you who will fly a route before you commit to it. A teaser line under the market tiles expands the panel into a passenger dossier: purpose mix, fare sensitivity, the twelve month seasonal shape, the weekly rhythm, the seat share ladder against the incumbent carriers by airline name, and the expected fill against breakeven.
The dossier also shows your own pull on the market. It runs the choice model for the route as you have configured it, re-runs it with each of your levers switched off, and attributes the resulting market share in share points to brand reputation, the fare you set, the loyalty programme and the origin lounge. A connections card says over which end of the pair the connecting passengers really connect, which direction they continue in, and whether your own network carries them onward or another carrier does.

The cash card carries a real balance chart with daily net flow bars, low and high annotations, a crosshair readout, keyboard walking and 30 / 90 / 180 / 365 day ranges, while obligations and a scrollable ledger fill the right rail. Aircraft maintenance is now a program you run, not a chore that happens to you. Every tail carries A, C and D checks that come due on flight hours or on cycles and calendar time, whichever arrives first, and each check has its own downtime and shop-visit cost.
A new Maintenance board in the Fleet workstation lays hangar lines against the next fourteen nights. Overnight A-checks are planned into the gaps in each tail's rotation automatically, and you can move a booking to another night, send it to a different station, or release it entirely.
C-checks book as multi-night stays at the hub MRO, drawn on the board as one continuous span across the nights they occupy, planned just in time before they fall due.
D-checks are a genuine decision point. A heavy overhaul grounds the aircraft for roughly six months, and about a year out you get advance notice framing the choice between overhauling the airframe and retiring it.

Runtime performance diagnostics now record rolling FPS, long main-thread tasks, simulation-day timings, save-codec timings and WebGL context state. Bug reports carry that snapshot, so freezes, frame drops and blank-map reports are actionable without asking you to reproduce them under a profiler.

Aircraft-delivery waits work with an existing fleet and stop when that fleet grows; crew-hiring waits stay available mid-game and are capped at 120 days, so an unfillable posting cannot consume years of live operations.
Time skipping now runs through a persistent background worker, yields between simulated days and sends bounded progress updates instead of repeatedly blocking the render thread at weekly and monthly boundaries. Cancellation stays responsive, completed skips still produce byte-identical simulation state, and the intentional blurred skip presentation remains in place.
Demand work now uses exact, adaptive caches and incremental integer hashing. Feeder demand still rotates daily, while unchanged geography, schedules and economics reuse their previous calculations.
Globe visualization invalidation now distinguishes changes that affect the rendered world from dossier-only state. Hidden or fully obscured maps suspend animation, aircraft-state generation and other invisible work until the map can be seen again.
Globe and Brand Studio renderers now use bounded texture, imagery, livery, airspace and OSM caches; close discarded image bitmaps; cap expensive device pixel ratios; and dispose GPU resources idempotently.
Saves are encoded and decoded off the main thread and use a backward-compatible gzip payload. A representative large save is about 89% smaller while existing uncompressed saves continue to load.
The network planner can resume an outbound draft that is still missing its paired return instead of forcing a duplicate same-direction series and trapping you behind the pre-operational proving cap. Leaving or reopening the panel preserves that draft, and curfew messages now identify whether the outbound must move earlier rather than incorrectly advising a later return.
A route drafted before the AOC demonstration stage no longer disappears when its planned season elapses and permanently blocks the one-route proving cap.
